Submitter: Sold as: Unknown. Expected to be unknown.

These tablets were vomited up by a canine patient. This has happened several times in the past and now our client, the owner of the dog, has decided to have the tablets tested. The owner does not know where the tablets are from and/or how her pet is getting them.
Although the lab was not immediately able to identify one of the substances in the tablet/caplet, this appears to be a probable nutritional supplement product of some kind because of the inclusion of stearic and palmitic acids. We will attempt to ID the substance.

The unidentified compound appears to be Triethyl citrate. See http://webbook.nist.gov/cgi/cbook.cgi?ID=C77930&Mask=200.
